Football to Amsterdam is the biggest ride – and the biggest party – in football, taking place on 1-3 June 2018. Backed by the English Football League and the League Managers Association, it’s an event football fans can’t ignore.
Former club members Phil Biddulph and Martyn Chealte along with club committee member Simon Morgan are taking part in this year’s event, along with assistant Manager Sam Ralph and current player Andy Frawley, they will be cycling from Barnsley Football Club to Amsterdam over two days which is around 145 miles.

The lads will be cycling alongside former Nottingham Forest and England legend Viv Anderson, also Alan Smith, Sir Les Ferdinand and Prestons current manager Simon Grayson.

In June 2017 Phil, Simon and Maryn completed the two-day ride and raised over £8000 between them and with your help they raised over £620.000 between the Northern and Southern teams, in 2018 the ride will be bigger and we would like your support again.

The lads will start their journey from Oakwell, the home of Barnsley FC following the Dearne Valley and take riders through the scenic Yorkshire countryside, past Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium and complete the first day’s ride in Hull where they will get the overnight ferry to Rotterdam where they will meet up with the riders that are setting off from London
After the overnight ferry to Rotterdam and a few beers, the second day will continue along the picturesque pathways of the Netherlands before the two Men United pelotons converge at the iconic Amsterdam ArenA, home of Dutch giants Ajax.

The group has already grown from 3 and is currently sitting at 9 riders, they have set-up a dedicated website, Facebook page and Twitter to help promote their ride and also to thank their sponsors.  If you would like to sponsor a member of the team there are a few spaces left of their shirts.

Clifton All Whites are proud to sponsor their efforts once again and we hope you will too.
